One of Leonardo’s most impactful TextIt projects has been with Corporación Campo Limpio, a Colombian organization responsible for collecting agrochemical waste across the country.
In Colombia, farmers are legally required to dispose of agrochemical waste properly. Corporación Campo Limpio coordinates this effort nationwide, but managing waste reporting, weight tracking, and documentation at scale presented a major challenge.
TextIt provided the ideal solution.
Using a chatbot built on TextIt, farmers can report the amount of agrochemical waste they deliver. The chatbot collects weight data and sends it to an external API, which automatically generates a PDF certificate—a legal requirement for farmers in Colombia.
The results speak for themselves: more than 1,000 tons of agrochemical waste have been collected nationwide through this system, representing a significant operational and environmental achievement.

As Asociación Rumbo Digital continues to grow, Leonardo and his team are not only improving the Campo Limpio project but also expanding into new sectors.
One recent initiative is a chatbot for the city of Trujillo, designed to collect survey data related to mobility and public transportation. This project highlights how TextIt can support civic initiatives by efficiently gathering critical public data at scale.
Leonardo’s journey into conversational automation began with door-to-door data collection using Ona/Formhub. When he discovered Ona’s integration with RapidPro, he started exploring chatbots—and eventually found TextIt.
What stood out immediately was the platform’s flexibility and scalability.
“Initially, I created flows for SMS, which was the solution I needed at that time. Later, I built chatbots for Facebook and Telegram, and more recently for WhatsApp.”
